With an increasing desire among corporates to get back to in-person events, we thought it would be timely to round up some of our favourite European meeting and event spaces, all of which are guaranteed to leave a positive and lasting impression among attendees.
London’s legendary Savoy offers an impressive array of event spaces ranging from three ballrooms for grand affairs to six private rooms ideal for smaller gatherings. The largest of The Savoy’s event spaces is the 476-square-metre Lancaster Ballroom. Designed by French architect René Sergeant after an 18th century Parisian salon, this now stands as one of the largest, most glamorous and most historic ballrooms in London. Here ballerina Anna Pavlova once danced, George Gershwin performed Rhapsody in Blue and the Notting Hill’s infamous ’press conference scene’ was filmed.
Offering a home for all manner of events, this beautiful retreat blends iconic heritage with modern elegance. In a dedicated wing of the hotel await 15 elegantly designed meeting rooms. Designed to stimulate thought and discussion, they also carry the hallmark of the hotel’s wellness ethos. For large-scale corporate gatherings or celebrations, the 800-square-metre, pillar-free ballroom can cater for up to 700 guests. Located on the edge of historic Windsor Great Park, the property is surrounded by 40 acres of open green space that provide the perfect environment for outdoor team building events.
Magna Pars L’Hotel à Parfum, Milan
This five-star hotel located in Milan’s fashion and design district is built on the foundations of an old perfume factory, where fragrance infuses everything, from the 68 suites to the cocktail collection. Equally innovative is the Magna Pars’ cutting-edge Event Space, located on the ground floor of the building. Here you will find no less than nine multipurpose conference rooms, ranging in size from 40 to 400 sqm, complemented by a stunning roof deck and terrace.
NH Collection Berlin Friedrichstrasse
Located on the world-famous Friedrichstrasse, just a short walk to the Brandenburg Gate and the Unter den Linden, Berlin’s historic tree-lined boulevard, the hotel offers nine air-conditioned meeting rooms, all with natural daylight. The adjoining glass hall meanwhile can accommodate up to 500 people. This tech-savvy property also offers holographic technology, allowing for 3D image projections of meeting attendees or work presentations.
Repurposed from a former bank and located on the old-town Plaza de Celenque, here minimalist design fuses with a Mondrian-esque colour palette to create an opulent yet contemporary atmosphere. From a large light-filled two-storey ballroom to three studios, the hotel’s array of meeting and event spaces offer natural light, the latest AV equipment and dividing walls for bespoke setups. The series of calm, cool and relaxed breakout spaces are designed to feel like living rooms, offering well-deserved moments of clarity away from event content and meetings.
