Climate
Miami enjoys a subtropical climate that delivers plenty of sunshine all year round. Watch out for the cooling effect of those breezes and don’t forget to apply your suntan lotion regularly.
Rainfall occurs mainly during summer and early autumn. Summer humidity levels are usually between 85-90 percent, making Miami one of the most humid cities in the US.
July to September is the hottest summer period when average temperatures do not move from 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit), yet even in the coolest winter months of January and February you can still expect a pleasant 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit).
Language
English is the most common language, but Spanish is often also spoken.
Passport Visa
Visitors entering the country under the Visa Waiver Programme (VWP) must have a machine-readable passport (MRP) that includes their biometrics. They also need to register online three days before travel.
All visitors to the USA will have a photograph and two fingerprints taken by an inkless scanner on arrival.

Safety
Travel within the United States is generally trouble-free, however, the US shares with the rest of the world an increased threat from terrorist incidents.
Hurricanes are common between June and November – and Florida is among the areas most at risk.
