China Airlines A350 is delayed

The first delivery of China Airlines’ Airbus A350 has been pushed back to September 2016.

Airline officials say the delay is due to “a backlog of aircraft ready to enter cabin completion stations on the final assembly line”.

The carrier was previously scheduled to take delivery of the next-generation aircraft in July 2016, before placing the new A350 onto its European routes to Rome, Amsterdam and Vienna.

Airbus “has expressed its apologies to China Airlines and assured China Airlines that it does not expect any further changes to the airline’s delivery schedule”.
