Monday Morning (8th November 2021) saw two transatlantic rivals celebrate the reopening of the US to UK nationals with their first-ever synchronised take-off.

British Airways flight BA001, a flight number previously reserved for Concorde, and Virgin Atlantic flight VS3, both departed Heathrow for New York JFK at 08.30. The show of unity marks the first day since 16 March 2020 that most UK nationals have been able to fly to the US.
