Carton House
Following a significant refurbishment, the historic Carton House will open its doors fully in spring 2021. The property is the first Fairmont branded hotel in Ireland and the fourth in the UK & Ireland, joining The Savoy in London, Fairmont St Andrews in Scotland and Fairmont Windsor Park.
One of Ireland’s most exquisite national treasures, the house itself was built in 1739. The Carton estate however dates back to 1176, then part of the Maynooth estate belonging to the FitzGerald family, one of the most influential families in Irish history.
Luxury resort escapism at its best, Fairmont Carton House is set in 1,100 private acres of sweeping Kildare parkland, just 25 minutes from Dublin International Airport.
Guests can get into the swing of it with two world-class championship 18-hole golf courses, relax and unwind at the oasis that is Carton Spa, indulge in no less than three eateries, explore a vast array of resort activities or simply enjoy a restful night’s sleep in one of 165 bedrooms, 18 of which are located in The House.
The resort also boasts a purpose built conference and events centre which can hold up to 500 delegates.
