Aman New York – Due to open its doors in spring 2021, Aman New York signifies renewal on many levels.
Located at the crossroads of Fifth Avenue and 57th Street, this extraordinary property will breathe new life into Manhattan’s Crown Building. Formerly the first home of the Museum of Modern Art, this iconic edifice has undergone a monumental transformation, which has seen it fully restored to its original splendour and imbued with the spirit of Aman.
Aman New York will comprise 83 elegant guest rooms and suites, which start at 70 square metres. Each has a functioning fireplace – something of a rarity in New York. In addition, the hotel will house just 22 private branded residences, many with spacious outdoor terraces, including a one-of-a-kind, five storey penthouse.
Guests and residents will have access to unrivalled facilities, including a jazz club, private members’ club, wine room and three principal dining venues. The latter includes Aman’s signature fine-dining Italian restaurant Arva, which will offer exceptional all-day dining both within the airy restaurant and on the wraparound garden terrace with its views over Central Park.
With the importance of focusing on personal wellbeing never more apparent, the Aman Spa will be the brand’s new flagship Wellness Centre in the western hemisphere. This serene haven will encompass three rooms dedicated to consultation, examination and therapy; seven spa treatment suites; two unique Banya and Hammam Spa Houses and a 20-metre indoor swimming pool lined with double daybeds around cosy fire pits.
