How to have the Perfect London Fashion Week
From the 16th to the 20th of September, Fashion Week returns to our hometown of London.
Wherever London Fashion Week lands, it is always the biggest show in town. Whether you work in the fashion industry and want to stay in style while you are in London, or if you are flying in, just to enjoy the shows and after-shows - let our Luxury Travel Managers plan every part of your stay, as London becomes the world's biggest catwalk.
Where to Stay
In February, London Fashion Week said goodbye to Somerset House, the 18th Century former-palace that had been its home since 2009.
Although not too far away, this year's move to Soho's Brewer Street Car Park gives London Fashion Week regulars the chance to stay somewhere new without having to worry about getting your cape caught in the taxi doors on the way to the show.
For a great central location, let us book your stay at the Ham Yard Hotel. With all the excitement of Soho and Piccadilly Circus at its doorstep, the terrace suite is the perfect base for your week of fashion. Modern British interiors from Kit Kemp make clever use of the suite's 1560 sq ft, delivering a fresh yet authentically British interior.
For more of a sleek, edgy feel, head to the London Edition Hotel just off Oxford Street. Great for young, fun-loving fashion followers, the London Edition is among the trendiest places to stay in London at the minute. With Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Cara Delevingne and Kendal Jenner spotted partying there for AW15 in February, be sure to see what is on at the uber-cool basement club.
In the Day
These Soho hotels are only seconds from some of Europe's most prestigious shopping streets. Head north to world-famous fashion department store, Liberty or browse around Oxford Street and Regent Street, where there are too many different fashion riches to name and virtually every major high street and upmarket retailer has their flagship store.
A short walk east from the main venue will have you in Savile Row, an entire street devoted simply to making you the perfect suit. Just let us know what you require and we will book in a measuring for you with the right tailor. Just south from Brewer Street you can find Jermyn Street (dress-shirt heaven) and St James' Street, home to Lock & Co., the inventors of the bowler hat.
In the Evening
Soho is full of world-class restaurants and bars – so much so that you can often be left wondering where to start. Let our Luxury Travel Managers, book you a table at the Chiltern Fire House. To dine here is to dine at London's hottest restaurant as Executive Chef Nuno Mendes continues to put out stunning, creative, contemporary menus.
If you are missing the Thames-side chic of London Fashion Weeks gone by, we will be happy to chauffer you over to the legendary American Bar at the Savoy. Be sure to wave at the drinkers on the Somerset House terrace across the road as you enter this, the bar that wrote the bible on cocktails.
With London Fashion Week now planted firmly in the heart of the West End, a trip to the theatre is simply a must. There is always a wealth of big productions on show, but for a uniquely British production, our Luxury Travel Managers can book your tickets to the musical production of cult British film Bend It Like Beckham.
