The northeast coast of Australia is home to some of the world’s most impressive natural wonders. Whether you explore its otherworldly coral formations, white sands and crystal clear waters by boat, from the air or underwater, this truly is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The area is also home to another great natural wonder, the Daintree Rainforest, the world’s oldest living rainforest, tens of millions of years older than the Amazon. Here aboriginal guides will lead you through the spectacular flora and fauna.
Days 11 – 13: Angkor Wat, Cambodia
Hotel: Raffles Grand Hotel d’Angkor, Siem Reap, Cambodia
Angkor Thom, the “city of temples”, represents ancient urban planning at its best, incorporating canals, reservoirs and, of course, temples, including the awe-inspiring Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. Find yourself transported back to another age as you walk through the Siq, a narrow chasm in the bedrock formed when tectonic forces split the mountain in two, and emerge before the elaborate Treasury, Petra’s most famous monument. Nearby are the spectacular rock formations of Wadi Rum, an evocative lunar-like landscape immortalised in David Lean’s epic Lawrence of Arabia.

Hotel: La Mamounia, Marrakech, Morocco
Shimmering under the hot North African sun, Marrakesh is a city that sums up the colourful splendour of North Africa. The city is also the perfect base from which to explore the ruggedly beautiful terrain and traditional Berber villages of the majestic Atlas Mountains.
