Dubai is a city bristling with landmark luxury hotels, but with each hotel having up to nine places to dine, finding the best place to eat even within your own hotel can take a couple of days!

Our Travel Managers are in the Middle East regularly and have assembled a list of great places to eat for the next time you visit Dubai.

La Petite Maison

This Niçoise restaurant is a venture by same people behind the famous Mayfair restaurant of the same name. It has been open in Dubai since 2010, delivering the all the hallmarks of great southern French cuisine: warm, well-turned-out service, classic dishes and well-loved flavour combinations.

You can find La Petite Maison (loving referred to as LPM) by the International Financial Centre at Gate Village. It serves traditional dishes from the French-Italian boarder, including crème brûlée, Niçoise olives, arrabbiata, entrecote and grilled artichokes.

Nobu

Nobu is a flashy Japanese restaurant famous for its dramatic interior. Located within the equally ostentatious Atlantis the Palm, Nobu can either be a sit-down seafood feast, or feel like a smart, urban sushi bar depending on where you sit.

The dining menu is dominated by exotic, fine ingredients such as rare black cod and lobster ceviche. They also serve a ‘high brunch’ with champagne and sushi from noon-3pm.

Coya

This South American restaurant recently won Time Out’s Restaurant of the Year Award. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to find outstanding South American cuisine in this city where global cuisines are well represented. Like La Petite Maison, Coya has sister restaurants in London and Miami.

The Incan cuisine favourite of raw fish cured with acidic marinades (ceviche) punctuates a menu that also features crowd-pleasers like tacos and para picar – South American bar food. It’s all about the seafood in this restaurant. Find Coya at the Four Seasons in Jumeirah.

JW’s Steakhouse

Smokey, dark and resembling a Sergio Leone set, JW’s is a quintessential steakhouse. Covered with natural fabrics and materials, you feel like you’re eating at the fanciest restaurant in a thriving 1880s cowboy town.

Naturally, it’s all about the steak here, but there’s also incredible lobster and crab tossed on the grill, alongside a very well-chosen wine list. Choose from Angus or Waygu beef, or a sensational grilled rack of lamb with the sides merely offering a little variety between the sensational meaty mouthfuls.
