Marriott International Sees Revenues Rise in Fourth Quarter


Arne Sorenson, president and chief executive officer of Marriot International, said: “Last year was a terrific year.”

Marriot International saw revenues increase to $5.88 billion in the fourth quarter, up from $5.46 billion just a year ago.

The company added over 76,000 rooms during 2017, including roughly 11,000 rooms that were converted from their competitors and nearly 30,000 rooms in their international markets.

At the end of the year, Marriot’s worldwide presence increased to about 2,700 hotels and more that 460,000 rooms, also including about 34,000 rooms approved but not yet in contract.
