BA’s longest flight
Santiago will be the latest destination in Latin America to join British Airways’ route network.
The British airline are launching their first non-stop flight between London and Santiago, Chile early next year.
This will be the airline’s longest flight, taking 14 hours 40 minutes. This is nearly an hour more than their current longest flight which is a service to Buenos Aires, taking 13 hours 50 minutes.
The flight will depart from Heathrow four times a week using the B787-9 Dreamliner on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 2200. The flight is expected to and arrive in Santiago at 0940 local time the following day. The return flight will depart at 1845 arriving back in London at 1205 local the following day.
