Eurostar Expect Surge in Passengers for Easter Weekend
High speed rail operator, Eurostar, have announced that they are expecting over 163,000 passengers to travel this Easter weekend, a 12% increase in passengers compared to last year.
Friday 14th April is anticipated to be the busiest day for departures from the UK, with more than 20,000 people make a trip to Europe as they take advantage of the four-day weekend.
“As travellers set off for the Easter weekend, our station teams are looking forward to making their journeys even more memorable,” said Mary Walsh, director of communications.
“We’ll be handing out activities to keep the children entertained, free upgrades for lucky passengers and are expecting some visits from the Easter bunny with Easter eggs to deliver.”
