FCO Lifts Advise Against Travel to Most of Tunisia
This week, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) lifted its advice against travel to most of Tunisia including the country’s main tourism hotspots.
British holiday-makers will be able to return to the country in North Africa for the first time in two years, following the initial ban in June 2015.
Commenting on the news, Mounira Ben Cherifa, Director of the Tunisian National Tourist Office in the UK, said, “We are delighted to receive this news still in time for last minute summer holiday bookings and the winter season.
We will be communicating with all of our tour operators to see how quickly we can get airlift reinstated, meanwhile Tunis Air are flying daily from London Heathrow and Gatwick into Tunis”.
