Thai Airways takes delivery of new Airbus A350 XWB

Thai Airways has launched the first of 12 Airbus A350 XWB aircrafts.

The A350-900 aircraft will initially run on the carrier’s regional service between Bangkok and Chiang Mai, but will later be placed onto long-haul routes starting with the Bangkok to Melbourne service.

The 321-seat aircraft features a premium two class layout, with 32 Royal Silk Class seats, convertible to fully lie-flat beds, and 289 economy seats.

The airline has ordered a total of 12 Airbus A350s. Four of these are being brought directly from Airbus, while the other eight aircrafts are being acquired under lease agreements.
