Simplexity’s 2016: A Year in Review

 

What a year 2016 was! We won’t go into the long list of the greats taken from us or the political developments in the UK and USA, instead we will look at the many positives and exciting ventures we at Simplexity Travel have shared over the last 12 months. Steps that see us expanding our horizons ever further.

 

Privileged partnerships

In 2016, Simplexity became a member of the Virtuoso network, making us one of only eight TMCs in Europe within this prestigious network! Virtuoso is an industry leader in the luxury travel network giving Simplexity added clout as well as exposure to the important movers and shakers of travel. We feel honoured and privileged to be joining such a prestigious network.

 

Supporting Norwich

Simplexity also became the official travel partner of Norwich City Football Club to deliver first class travel solutions to ‘The Canaries’. Simplexity’s Head of Business Development Mark Smith said “We will offer the club its own account manager who will be on the other end of the phone at any time of the day – or night!”

Ben Kensell, Commercial Director at Norwich City FC, added “The financial advantages of using Simplexity Travel are obviously important for us. But that’s only half the story, the time and effort it saves us are just as important. Simplexity also offers us add-ons like arranging players’ holidays or even getting them tickets to sold out gigs and events. We look forward to continuing the partnership into and beyond 2017.”

Norwich Business Hero

In the latter half of 2016, we launched the Norwich Business Hero competition. Here at Simplexity we wanted a way to support the unsung heroes of the workplace and to showcase Norwich’s thriving business network at the same time. Winners receive tickets to a Norwich game as well as a weekend away to Paris! They’ll be announced on Tuesday 28th March 2017, so watch this space.

Continuing in the theme of togetherness through memberships and partnerships, we strengthened the events vertical within the business with affiliation to Wembley Stadium and the SSE Arena. Simplexity Travel holds a 12-seat, long-side box at Wembley Stadium and is a proud Official Overseas Agent for Club Wembley.

The year also saw us launch a brand spanking new website. We think the sleek and chic design and easy to use functionality of the site merge well with our ethos as a company, the products we offer and the clients we attract.

 

Looking ahead

2017 looks to be a great year of expansion for Simplexity as we look to broaden our horizons in terms of customers. We have a loyal client base from countries in the Middle East and going forward we want to be able to cater more for these clients’ needs and desires, strengthening our offerings with them in mind.

After the success of Simplexity’s partnership with Norwich City FC, we will be looking to increase our sports affiliations as well as general growth in our clients. As the future of corporate and leisure travel management, we will continue to look forward for the next great opportunity in travel.
