Delta’s First A350 Lands in Tokyo
Delta’s inaugural Airbus A350 flight from Detroit to Tokyo landed at Narita International Airport last week.
The airline’s newest aircraft features three cabins – Delta One Suites (business class), Delta Premium Select (premium economy class) and Main Cabin (economy class).
Each Delta One Suite features a fully flat-bed seat with direct aisle access. Delta premium select offers up to 38 inches of pitch, a seat width of 18.5 inches and seven inches of recline. While customers travelling in the main cabin can benefit from free seatback in-flight entertainment on high definition screens.
Commenting on the news, Masaru Morimoto, Delta’s vice president for Japan, Micronesia and the Philippines said:
“Delta is investing billions of dollars in its aircraft and airport facilities to provide better products and services to our important customers. The A350 aircraft is among these investments, and this Narita – Detroit flight is the first route Delta has deployed for the latest aircraft.”
